9. With the proper asset and active test configuration loaded, press the Surge test icon to start the testing process.

10. Confirm the active test configuration in the Test Initiation screen then continue the process.

11. In the Surge Test screen, press the Edit test configuration icon.

12. In the Surge section of the test configuration screen, turn off (uncheck) all test leads.

13. Set the Target Pulse Count to 10–15 pulses.

14. Zero Start Override and PD test should also be disabled during this process.

15. Save the changes to the test configuration then exit the screen.

16. When you return to the Surge Test screen, press the LEAD 1 button then the START button.

17. After the voltage ramps to target voltage, the software will run the test for the defined pulse count then the test

will stop.

18. When you have a satisfactory waveform that you want to use as your reference for Lead 1, press the Save Reference

icon at the top of the screen.
