The example below shows the auto Surge test screen in progress. The LEAD indicators in the screen turn off as each
test completes and the LEAD button is disabled.

The software handles all test functions automatically and the analyzer will run through the full test without stopping
unless a failure is encountered.

3. Pressing the STOP button terminates the test in progress.

NOTE: If a test fails during the testing process, the software will provide a message notifying you of the
issue. You are given choices such as saving the test results, continuing with testing, or exiting without
saving. Messages and options vary depending on the failure type encountered.

4. When testing completes, press the EXIT icon in the top right corner to leave the Surge Test screen.

WARNING: To ensure the safety of all personnel, refer to “Ensure Proper Grounding
and Discharge after Conducting DC Tests” in chapter 1, “General Operating and Safety
Information” for guidance on properly discharging and grounding the asset (DUT).
