Removing the Keyboard Storage Tray

The keyboard storage tray (front cover) is commonly removed during use.

1. Remove the keyboard and set it aside for now.

2. Refer to the image below to identify the location of the hinge pins (1).

3. Remove the keyboard from the tray then remove the cover by holding it in a nearly-closed position while

simultaneously pressing up on the bottom corners just below the cover hinges (image shows cover flat to reveal
hinge locations—1). Lay the cover aside in a safe place.

Reinstalling the Keyboard Tray

1. Note the location of the hinge pins. Ensure that they are intact and centered in their retainers.

2. Raise the tray to a nearly-closed position with the pins aligned with their hooks.

3. Press on the lid to snap the pins into place.

4. Place the keyboard and cord into the tray, sliding one end under the retainer bracket.

5. Magnets in the top edge of the tray grasp onto screws in the unit to keep it closed.

CAUTION: Failure to properly install the keyboard tray/front cover when the unit is not in use can result
in damage to the display screen.
