FAULT MESSAGE Fire Alarm ON. Check Loco and MU Locos for fire and extinguish fire.
RESTRICTIONS
Engine Shutdown.

After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when engine is shut down and fire alert signal is OFF.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. MEP detected fire alert signal from Fire Alert System and shut down
the engine.
2. MDIP16 card in slot No. 13 might be defective.
3. Defective wiring.
4. Deective MU cable.
FAULT
ISOLATION
This message can log when any fire accident occurred either in leading
loco or trailing loco.
Ensure that there is no fire accident in any loco before trouble shooting
the fault.
1. Check the status of green LED 6 on MDIP 16 card in slot No. 13. If
LED is glowing:
A. Check the voltage between wire TL 11 and 4. If voltage is more
than 65V.
a. Then the fire alerter system is ON. Check the Fire alerter
system and reset. If already system is reset then wire TL 11
is getting a wrong supply. Identify and rectify the problem.
B. If voltage is zero, Fire alerter system is not activated and
message is logged then the MDIP16 card in slot 13 might be
defective.
C. Replace the MDIP16 card and verify.
Note: Malfunction / wrong detection of fire by the fire alerter system
can cause logging of the above fault.
