If the fault condition is still present even when cleared manually, the
fault will be generated again.

RECOVERY
Automatic when VCDR auxiliary contact is open.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
This fault is logged when the relay VCDR is defective or VCDR feed
back interlock wiring is short-circuited.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Shutdown the engine. Switch ON MB1, MB2 and MPCB breakers
only. Check the status of the VCDR relay.
2. If the relay is in energized position, check the supply across the
relay coil.
A. If the voltage is zero but relay energised, then the relay is
defective. Replace.
3. If the Voltage is more than 65 V, digital output card MLSD16 in slot
No. 15 is defective. Replace the card.
4. With the relay in de-energized position, check the status of Green
LED 11 on the digital input card MDIP 16 in slot no.12.
A. If both Greed LED 11 and corresponding yellow LED 11 are
glowing, wire No. VCDR FB is getting supply due
a) Faulty wiring. Check and rectify.
b) Relay VCDR is defective. Replace the relay.
Note: This Error message will be generated only if alerter relay is provided and “VCD
Enable” Flag and “VCD Relay Connected” flags are set.
