After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when valid combination of TL wires 15, 12, 7, and 3 are
energized.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. This message is logged when an invalid combination of train line
wires 15, 12, 7 and 3 are fed to MEP-660.
2. Wrong MU feeding
3. Defective master controller
4. Defective wiring between CS, TB and MU
5. Defective Digital input card.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Ensure there is no MU cable connected to another loco
2. Set both master controllers in IDLE position and ensure brake
system is working normal.
3. Check the status of Green and Yellow LEDs 2, 3, 4 and 5 on the
digital input card MDIP 16 in slot No. 9.
A. If any of the above said Green LEDs is glowing, wrong feed is
coming to that particular Tail Line wire.
a) Check the voltage at the backside terminal board. Identify
from where the voltage is coming and rectify.
B. If any of the above said yellow LEDs is glowing, then the digital
input card is defective. Replace the card and check up.
4. Set the display mode to ‘Manual Test for Inputs’ under ‘Test Mode’
menu.
5. Keep any of the master controller handle in steps from notch 1 to
8.
6. Observe the status the both Green and Yellow LEDs 2, 3, 4 and 5
on the digital input card MDIP 16 in slot 9.
7. The status of the LEDs should toggle as per the notch and sequence
given below.

* Indicate LED should glow.
8. If any of the Green LEDs is not glowing as per the sequence, it
indicates that particular wire is not energized.
9. Change the master controller and check weather the same LED is
not glowing in the same sequence.
