DESCRIPTION
FAULT CODE
1095
FAULT MESSAGE Field Shunting Contactor FS22/FS25 Circuit Open.
RESTRICTIONS
Field Shunting Prohibited, Motoring in PARALLEL Prohibited
ALARM BELL
30 seconds
RESET LEVEL
Medium, Manual
After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when master handle is brought to IDLE. Auto fault recovery
is permitted for 3 times in an hour. There after manual reset is
required.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. Defective FS22 or FS25 contactors. (Not picking up).
2. Open circuited FSR22 or FSR25 resistor panels.
3. Disconnected/burnt FSR cables.
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Set the display mode to ‘Manual Test for Outputs’ available under
Test Mode menu option in the main menu.
2. To test FSR relay operation, enter 24 and press ‘Enter’ key.
3. Press 1 to energise FSR relay. FSR relay energises.
4. FSFB status Green LED 10 on the digital input card 4 MDIP16 in slot
12 should glow. FS contactors also should pick up.
5. Check the status of FS22 and FS25 contactors.
6. If the contactors are not picking up, check the Voltage between
wire 13 at FSR interlock and locomotive 4 wire.
A. If the voltage is zero, check the continuity of 13 wire connected
to FSR interlock.
7. If the voltage is more than 65V, check the voltage between wire
FS2 at the FSR interlock and locomotive 4 wire.
A. If the voltage is zero, the interlock is bad. Replace the FSRrelay.
8. If the voltage is more than 65V, check the voltage between wire
FS2 at FS contactor coil and locomotive 4 wire.
A. If the voltage is zero, the wire FS2 from FSR relay interlock to
FS22 coil is open circuited. Replace the loop.
9. If the voltage is more than 65V, check the voltage across FS22 coil
terminals.
A. If the voltage is zero, the 4 wire connected to FS22 coil is open
circuited. Check the continuity of 4 wire connected to FS
contactor coils.
10. If the voltage is more than 65V, and FS contactor is not picking up,
the FS contactor is defective. Replace the FS contactor.
11. If FS25 alone not picking up,
A. The loop wires of either FS2 or 4 might have open circuited.
Check and replace.
B. The operating coil might be defective. Replace the FS contactor.
12. Check the FSR cables connected between REV and FS contactors for
any open circuit. If any replace the open circuited cables.
13. Check the FSR cables connected between FS contactors and FSR
resistors. Replace any open circuited cables.
14. Check FSR resistors. Replace any open circuited FSRs.
