FAULT MESSAGE Wheel Number 3 Continuously Sliding

RESTRICTIONS

No restrictions. Warning only.

ALARM BELL

As long as Loco moves and for 30 Seconds minimum.

RESET LEVEL

Low, Manual
After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.

FAULT
RECOVERY

Automatic on arresting of wheel slide as sensed through TM speed
sensor.

PROBABLE
CAUSES

1. Brake binding on No.3 wheel resulting in low speed.
2. Defective Speed sensor on TM 3

FAULT
ISOLATION

1. If any brake binding is found, clear it as early as possible.
2. Check for tightness of the speed sensor coupler of TM No.3 and

ensure coupler is tight.

3. Speed sensor gear in the TM No.3 is slack or freely rotating in the

end cup. If found replace the TM.
