ALARM BELL
5 Sec.
RESET LEVEL
Medium, Manual
After manual reset if the fault still present, the fault will be generated
again.
FAULT
RECOVERY
Automatic when Aux. Gen. Voltage is reduced.
Automatic fault reset is permitted for 3 times in an Hour. After that
manual reset is required.
PROBABLE
CAUSES
1. Defective Aux. Generator due direct short of field wire with
Armature.
2. Defective MPWM2 card
3. Defective AGD / wiring
4. Defective Aux. Gen. Voltage sensor.
5. Defective MAIP8_AU card (Analog input card of Aux. Unit) in slot 1
6. Defective MAUCC card (Aux. Unit Control card) in slot No. 3
FAULT
ISOLATION
1. Check the wiring of he Auxiliary machines. Ensure there is no short
between LSS (A) and LAA terminals.
2. Ensure AGD wiring connections are intact.
3. Check the AGD with a multimeter for forward and reverse
resistance.
If the diode is normal, reconnect the Wires back
before doing any test.
4. If the diode is showing open circuited on both sides, replace the
AGD.
5. Set the display mode to ‘Auxiliary’ under display mode.
6. If Au. Gen. Field current (AGFI) is high and APWM value is less,
then the MPWM2 card might be defective. Replace the card and
check.
7. If AGFI is proportional to APWM value, measure voltage at LA and
LAA terminals of the Aux. Gen.
8. If the measured voltage is =72 V and lower than the displayed
AGAV value, then the AGAV voltage sensor is defective. Replace the
Voltage sensor and check again.
9. If all the values of AGFI, APWM, AGAV and battery charging is with
in the limits and still the fault is logged, MAIP8_AU card or MAUCC
card might be defective.
10. Replace the cards and check once again.
