cleared or electrical power is removed.
Pressing the PRESS TO TEST WARN LTS will
illuminate all the caution/warning lights. It
provides a means of testing all the modular
segments.
(1). ENGINE FIRE P TST:
The Engine Fire Press To Test warning
light provides a means of testing the
fire detection system for low pressure in
the engine compartment.
(2). ENGINE OUT:
The Engine Out warning light indicates
an engine condition that prevents
sufficient power output. These condi
tions include at least one of the follow
ing: N
1
turbine speed below idle (i.e. N1
< 60%), a flameout has been detected
and a relight has not occurred, or the
engine overspeed system has been
activated. If a flameout is sensed, the
ECU automatically attempts to relight
the engine. If an overspeed occurs, the
ECU reduces engine fuel flow and an
overspeed indication also displays.
(3). XMSN OIL PRESS:
Transmission Oil Pressure warning
light indicates a low oil pressure
condition in the main transmission.
(4). XMSN OIL TEMP:
Transmission Oil Temperature warning
light indicates a high temperature
condition in the main transmission.
(5). BAT TEMP 160
°
:
Battery Temperature warning light
indicates a battery temperature in
excess of 160
_
.
(6). ECU FAIL:
ECU Fail warning light indicates that
the auto control mode is not operation
al, due to an ECU hard fault.
(7). RESTART FAULT:
Restart Fault indicates that a failure
has occurred that will prevent engine
restarting if the engine is shut down.
(8). FADEC SYSTEM MANUAL:
FADEC System Manual caution light
indicates that the engine control is in
manual mode.
(9). LIMIT FAULT:
Limit Fault caution light indicates that
one or more of the automatic limiting
functions (N1, TOT, etc.) of the ECU is
disabled.
(10). ECU DEGRADED:
ECU Degraded caution light indicates
that either the Auto Mode of control is
degraded due to a failure, or that
maintenance action is required. Refer
to the Allison Operation and Mainte
nance Manual, FADEC Fault Codes” to
determine the meaning of the fault.
(11). BAT TEMP 140
°
:
Battery Temperature caution light
indicates a battery temperature in
excess of 140
_
.
(12). FUEL LEVEL LOW
Fuel Level Low caution light indicates
that the fuel supply has approximately
60 - 70 pounds of useable fuel remain
ing.
(13). FUEL FILTER:
Fuel Filter caution light indicates that
the fuel filter is becoming restricted and
that fuel will bypass the filter and
unfiltered fuel will be delivered to the
engine fuel control.
(14). M/R XMSN CHIPS:
Main Rotor Transmission Chip Detector
caution light indicates that ferrous
metallic particles have accumulated on
the magnetic chip detector.
(15). AFT XMSN CHIPS:
Aft (Anti-Torque Fan) Transmission
Chip Detector caution light indicates
that ferrous metallic particles have
accumulated on the magnetic chip
detector.
(16). ENGINE CHIPS:
Engine Chip Detector caution light
indicates that ferrous metallic particles
