(c). Release keying switch.
(6). Rotate INTERCOM mode select switch
to PVT position.
(7). Check to ensure that when microphone
is spoken into, audio is heard in all
three passenger headsets.
(8). Rotate INTERCOM mode select switch
to NORM position.
(9). (LH command T panels only) Open
AUDIO circuit breaker (pull out).
(10). (RH command T panels only) Open ICS
circuit breaker (pull out).

Housings, enclosures
Scratches, dents, corrosion,rust, bare spots on painted surfaces, loose or
damaged fasteners, missing attached parts, illegible markings.
Control panels
Rust, corrosion, illegible markings, loose or missing knobs and dials, broken
indicator windows, sticking or inoperative controls, loose or missing attaching
parts, burned out lamps.
Fixed connectors
Loose or missing attaching parts, bent or broken pins, loose or distorted
sockets, cracked or damaged shell.
Cable connectors
Bent or broken pins, loose or distorted sockets, cracked or damaged case.
Wiring harnesses
Evidence of overheating, damaged insulation, worn or frayed insulation, loose
terminal lugs or splices, missing identification labels.
Mounting brackets
Physical damage, rust or corrosion, loose or missing attaching parts, loose or
missing structure rivets.
6. Intercommunication System Cleaning

Solvent, dry-cleaning
(1). Remove moisture and loose dirt with a
clean, lint-free cloth.
Cleaning solvent is toxic
and flammable. Do not in
hale fumes. Use in a well-ventilated
area away from open flame. Avoid con
tact with skin. Wash off thoroughly if
solvent does contact skin.
(2). Remove grease, fungus, and ground-in
dirt with a clean cloth dampened (not
wet) with cleaning solvent (CM234, or
equivalent).
(3). Remove dirt and dust from plugs and
receptacles with a soft-bristle brush.
(4). Clean front panels with a soft, clean,
lint-free cloth. If dirt is difficult to
remove, dampen cloth with water; mild
soap may be used for more effective
cleaning. Do not rub hard on panel
markings.
