Owner Maintenance

C heckin g o r C han ging E n gin e Oil-

H o t engine o il is dangerou s. I f the

engine has been ru nn in g, the engine

oil becom es very hot. You co u ld be

seriou sly burned. D o n ’t check o r

change the engine oil w hen the

engine is hot.

1. W arm up the engine for a few m inutes

and turn it off. R em ove the oil-filler
cap.

2. R em ove the drain plug and drain the oil

into a suitable container.

3. R eplace the plug tightly after the oil

has thoroughly drained.

4. F ill the engine w ith new oil to the F

m ark on the dipstick.

5. Securely replace the oil-filler cap.

6. Start the engine and inspect around the

drain plug for leaks.

7. Turn it off and w ait 5 m inutes for the

oil to return to the oil pan.

C heck the oil level and fill to the F m ark if
necessary.
