▼ Battery Maintenance
To get the best service from a battery:
• K eep it securely m ounted.
• K eep the top clean and dry.
• K eep term inals and connections clean,
tight, and coated w ith petroleum jelly
o r term inal grease.
• R inse off spilled electrolyte
im m ediately w ith a solution o f w ater
and baking soda.
• If the vehicle w ill not b e used for an
extended tim e, disconnect the battery
cables.
Tires
For reasons o f proper perform ance, safety,
and better fuel econom y, alw ays m aintain
recom m ended tire inflation pressures and
stay w ithin the recom m ended load lim its
and w eight distribution.

U sing D ifferen t Tire Types:

b ra k in g ; leadin g to loss o f con trol.
E x cep t w hen usin g the tem porary
spare tire, use only the sam e type tires
(radial, bias-belted, bias-type) on a ll
f o u r w h eels.
U sing W rong-S ized Tires:
U sing any oth er tire size than w h a t is
specified f o r y o u r M a zd a (page 10-6)
is d a n g ero u s. I t cou ld seriously affect
ride, han dlin g, g ro u n d clearance, tire
clearance, a n d speedom eter
c a libration . This cou ld cause y o u to
have an a ccid en t. Use only tires th a t
are the co rrect size sp ecified f o r y o u r
M a zd a .
