7.16 Regenerating the exhaust aftertreatment system

Risk of fire from hot surfaces and high exhaust temperatures
Exhaust aftertreatment system regeneration causes high tem-

peratures in the exhaust system.

Always keep a sufficient distance from combustible mate-

rials during the regeneration of the exhaust aftertreatment

system.

–

Allow the exhaust system to cool with the engine running

after the regeneration of the exhaust aftertreatment

system.

7.16.1

Carrying out regeneration during work operation

Move the

[Exhaust aftertreatment system regeneration]

switch into the center position.

Regeneration is permitted.

The engine control starts regeneration automatically as

required:

The engine speed is increased and is then reduced

again once regeneration ends.

The exhaust temperature increases during regenera-

tion.
