The effect of wind loads on the crane and panel shall be taken

into consideration. Operations shall be halted if the wind can

cause a loss of control in handling the load.

The main hoist line shall be used to raise the panel into the

vertical position.

Ensure that all personnel working on and around the crane are

properly trained and thoroughly familiar with operational functions

of the crane and safe operating and work practices. Personnel

should be thoroughly familiar with regulations and standards gov-

erning cranes and their operation. Work practices may vary slightly

between government regulations, industry standards, local and job-

site rules and employer policies so a thorough knowledge of and

compliance with all relevant work rules is necessary.
