9.6.1 kWh counter
Using an external power meter, a counter can be implemented for the machine's energy consump‐
tion. To this end, the pulse output of the power meter is connected to a free digital input for the
SIGMA CONTROL 2. Pulses sent to this digital input can be added up by a counter in the menu
3.3. Each pulse increases the meter reading by 1 kWh. The meter reading can be reset via the
menu. In addition, the meter reading is communicated via the process map.
Precondition Access level 2 is activated
1. Open the menu 3.3

2. Using the «Up» or «Down» key, select the line
Count pulse.
3. Press the «Enter» key.
The display flashes for the input currently set.
4. Using the «Up» or «Down» key, open the input to which the power meter is connected.
5. Press the «Enter» key.
The input has now been assigned.
Pulses sent to the selected digital input will be counted by the kWh counter.
If your entry is rejected, it means that the input is already assigned.
➤ Select a different input.
9.6.1.1 Resetting the kWh counter
1. Using the «Up» or «Down» key, select the line with the meter reading.
2. Press the «Enter» key.
The check box Reset will flash.
3. Press the «Up» key.
The check box is activated.
4. Press the «Enter» key.
The counter for the energy consumption is reset.
5. Press the «Escape» key repeatedly to exit the menu.
9.7 Setting the maintenance interval
Example: Changing the maintenance interval for lubricating oil change.
Precondition Access level 2 is activated
The operating mode is displayed.
