4.12.4 - Calculating the amount of fertilizer to be distributed
The following guidance on how to calculate the amount of fertilizer to be distributed:
Formula: X = B x C x D
A
Where:
A = area to be fertilized (m²)
B = Row spacing (mm)
C = Amount of fertilizer to be distributed in the area (kg)
D = Space to go for distribution test (m)
X = Number of grams that should drop by line
example:
The implement is with 170 mm spacing between lines, and we intend to distribute 500 pounds of fertilizer in
one hectare (10,000 m), and the test distance is 50 meters.
A = 10000 (1 ha)
B = 0,17 m (170 mm)
C = 500 kg/ha
D = 50 m
X = 170 x 500 x 50 X = 85.000 x 50

4.12.4.1 - Retest of fertilizer distribution

4.12.4.2 - Practical test of fertilizer distribution
