CARES WITH THE ENVIRONMENT
1-Respect the Environment, do not spill oil, fuel or other residues that can damage the soil, lakes,
streams, rivers and the underground layers.
2-Perform the recycling of damaged and disposed items. Preserve the environment.
INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION EQUIPMENT
According to the needs for each activity, the worker must use the following individual protection
equipments:
1-
Protection for the Head
, Eyes and Face: hat or another protection against the sun, rain or
splashes;
2-
Safety Goggles
: against injuries from the impact of flying particles and intense luminous radia -
tion;
3-
Hearing Protection
: for activities with noise levels harmful to the health. Prolonged exposition
to noise can cause damages or loss of hearing;
4-
Respirators
: for activities with chemicals, such as fertilizers, nuisance dust, etc;
5-
Protection of Upper Limbs
:
a) Gloves for activities of engaging or disengaging the equipment, as well as handling of ex coria-
ting, abrasive, cutting or perforating objects;
b) Gloves to handle chemicals, according to specifi cation in the product label;
c) Long sleeve shirt for activities in open air during the day.

Protection of Lower Limbs
:
a) Waterproof and antiskid boots to work in ands, muddy and waterlogged terrains
b) Boots with reinforced toe where there is the risk of dropping heavy materials and objects.
c) Boots with long barrel or leggings for activities with the risk of attacks of poisonous animals.
SYMPTOMS OF POISONING AND FIRST AID
Inhalation of carbon monoxide expelled by the tractor in closed, unventilated, and the gases ex-
pelled by fertilizer or lime, are harmful to health and can cause poisoning. In the presence of some symp-
toms mentioned below, seek medical advice urgently. Symptoms:
a) Fainting, weakness, anguish and anxiety, seizures, malaise, dizziness, different view;
b) Nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, diarrhea;
c) Urine with different color and consistency;
d) Irritation of eyes, nose and throat;
e) Tosse and tears.
First Aid:
a) If the victim vomits leaves her sitting;
b) Never offer milk to drink alcoholic or intoxicated person;
c) Keep the victim calm and in a comforta ble position;
d) Find the product label used;
e) Seek immediate medical assistance taking the label of product.
ATTENTION:
The Worker is responsible for the IPE’s - Individual Protection Equipments indicated for the
purposes to which they are designed and ensure their conservation. The owner is responsible for
providing the IPE’s, as well as require its use by the operators.
NOTE: All the IPE’s purchased must have the AC (Approval Certificate), issued by the MLE -
Ministry of Labor and Employment, with expiration date in effect.
