SAFETY STANDARDS
JUMIL , by manufacturing its agricultural machines and implements, has as main purpose to develop the best
working conditions, increase the performance, productivity and improve their standard of living. However, in using these
machines, there is a concern with the safety of people involved with operation and maintenance.
We also have the constant concern with the environment preservation, so that the development is sustainable,
ecologically sustainable for the production of agribusiness. We remind that the environment preservation is responsi-
bility of everyone; so that, provide the correct disposal of packages, tires, etc., preventing them from being disposed in
watersheds, lakes, rivers, etc.
In this implement project development, each one of these details were analyzed in order to prevent accidents
that might occur during its use. However, there are components that, due to their functions, can not be totally protected.
For this, we recommend to read carefully this manual, reminding that the responsible for operation must be instructed
for the correct and safe operation of the implement. Follow the recommendations below:
ATTENTION:
Read carefully the instructions manual. Always check the instructions manual before
performing the implement adjustment and maintenance.
The instructions manual must be sent to the operator(s) and the maintenance team.
SAFETY IN THE IMPLEMENT PREPARATION
1-Operations with the tractor to the implement coupling must be performed by a trained person.
2-Make the implement coupling in a plain and levered location, it allows a correct and safe pro-
cedure.
3-When moving the tractor / implement, check if there is enough space and if there are no people
or animals in the maneuvering area.
4-Make mounting the implement done safely avoiding conditions that may generate the crushing
or other types of accidents. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) recommended.
5-Have a first aid kit in a location of easy access. Learn how to use it.
6-Keep the emergency phone numbers (doctors, ambulance, hospital), in a local within easy
viewing.
SAFETY IN OPERATION
1-Read carefully all the safety instructions in this manual and the adhesives attached in the im-
plement.
2-Keep the adhesives in good conditions, replace them if they are damaged.
3-Never allow non-competent people to operate the tractor / implement.
4-Do not use this implement for other purposes than those indicated in the instructions manual.
5-Do not perform any changes in the implement that may damage the operation and/or the safety.
6-Follow the safety instructions indicated by the tractor’s manufacturer.
7-Alcoholic beverages or any drugs that may cause loss of refl exes and change the operator’s
physical conditions. Do not use alcohol, tranquilizers or stimulants before or during the operation with this
implement.
8-In narrow passages, certify that the width is enough to pass the implement without any interfe-
rence.
9-Before start the working operation, check for foreign materials inside and over the implement.
10-Perform the terrain recognition, before start the work, demarcate dangerous locations or with
obstacles that might put the operator and the working operation in risk.
11-Keep all the protections in their proper places and do not operate the implement without them.
12-Do not transport people on the traction if there are not additional seats for this purpose.
13-Do not let anyone go up the tractor or implement when you are operating or transporting the
implement from an area to another.
14-Do not children or curious people to get next to the implement when you are operating or du-
ring maneuvering.
15-When starting the tractor, check if there are no people or animals near to the tractor or imple-
ment’s tires.
