z
Configurations made in IGMP Snooping view are effective for all VLANs, while configurations
made in VLAN view are effective only for ports belonging to the current VLAN. For a given VLAN, a
configuration made in IGMP Snooping view is effective only if the same configuration is not made in
VLAN view.
z
Configurations made in IGMP Snooping view are effective for all ports; configurations made in
Ethernet port view are effective only for the current port; configurations made in Layer 2 aggregate
port view are effect only for the current port; configurations made in port group view are effective
only for all the ports in the current port group. For a given port, a configuration made in IGMP
Snooping view is effective only if the same configuration is not made in Ethernet port view, Layer 2
aggregate port view or port group view.
z
For IGMP Snooping, configurations made on a Layer 2 aggregate port do not interfere with
configurations made on its member ports, nor do they take part in aggregation calculations;
configurations made on a member port of the aggregate group will not take effect until it leaves the
aggregate group.
