4.
Mount switch to switchbox using screws
provided. Switch must be mounted vertically.
See Figure D.
5.
Replace faceplate. Press firmly at top, middle,
and bottom to snap tabs into place.
6.
Turn on power.
Ganging
Nova switches can be ganged without breaking off
side sections. The Nova design also allows for
break-offs to conserve space. See Table A or B for
the number of switchboxes you need.
When ganging any combination of small and large
controls, place all small controls at one end of gang,
all large controls at other end.
*See note below
Note: When ganging an even number of small controls without
removing side sections, you need an additional switchbox 3/4"
from the other switchbox(es). Use a chase nipple as a spacer.
See Figure E.

Important Notes-Please Read Before
Installation
Caution: Use ordinary switch to check new
installations for short circuits before installing Nova
switch. Do not install switch until you are sure no
short is present.
Multigang Installations: In multigang installations
several controls are grouped horizontally in one
ganging switchbox. Multigang faceplates are
available from Lutron to simplify and beautify these
installations. If you are planning a multigang
installation, read ganging information before
beginning installation.
Installation
1.
Turn power OFF at circuit breaker or fusebox.
Wiring with power on may cause injury or
damage switch. Warranty void if switch is
miswired.
2.
Remove faceplate. Pull at sides to snap it off.
3.
Connect switchbox leads to switch. See Figure
A, B, or C for wiring diagram. Note: If a bare
copper or green ground wire is not in the wallbox,
contact a licensed electrician.
