Safety hood
Caution:
Possible damage to the safety hood
If temperatures are too high and/or if the wrong heating bath fluids are
used, the material will become soft and may be subject to deformations
and possibly tearing.
The safety hood is only suitable up to heating bath temperatures of
<130°C.
(For suitable heating bath fluids see chapter “Start-up, Heating
bath and flask lift” as well as chapter “Spare Parts and Accessories,
Accessories”)
Before you can use the safety hood, you need to screw the support of the safety hood to
the height stop.
➜ If needed, slide the safety hood off the
carrier.
➜ Unscrew the locking screw from the
height stop band.
➜ Tighten the safety hood carrier on the
height stop band using the two supplied
Allen screws.
✓ The knurled screw on the safety hood
carrier takes over the function of the
locking screw for the height stop band.

➜ Loosen the clamping screw and slide
the safety hood horizontally onto the
carrier until the hood sits above the
heating bath.
➜ Tighten the clamping screw.
✓ The safety hood is installed. The safety
hood can be lifted open at the handle
until it clicks into place.
