Warning:
Possible unintentional parameter changes
As long as the screen and the rotary knobs are activated, there is the
danger that parameters are changed unintentionally.
If the device is to operate unattended, do not go away before the
rotary knobs have been locked and the screen lock has been activated.
(See chapter “Operation, Setting parameters manually”, section “5.
Protecting setpoints” as well as chapter “Start-up, Settings”, section
“3. Locking the screen”.)
Setting parameters manually (“Application Basic”)
1. Setting the rotation speed
The distillation speed can be increased by increasing the rotation speed. The shortened
distillation time contributes to the thermal protection of the distillate.
However, depending on the size of the evaporating flask and the selected heating fluid,
different rotation speeds are appropriate.
Rotation speed range and adjustment
The rotation speed can be set between 10 rpm and 280 rpm.
Warning:
Risk of scalding! Risk of slipping!
At high rotation speeds, the heating bath fluid can splash and/or spill
over, resulting in slippery floors and severe scalding.
If you operate the device without a safety hood:
▪ Always test the fluid used before a process and document the
spraying behavior!
▪ Make this documentation available to all employees.
▪ Wear protective clothing near the device.
▪ Make sure the floor is clean.
➜ Test the fluid selected by you:
▪ at slowly increasing temperatures
▪ with your different evaporating flask sizes
▪ with increasing rotation speeds
➜ Note the results and make them available to all employees.
The viscosity and volume of the oil change depending on the oil
selected, the age of the oil and the setting of the bath temperature.
For this reason, document both the exact name/manufacturer speci-
fication and the period of use for oil and repeat the documentation at
specified time intervals.

✓ The evaporating flask is immersed in the heating bath.
