Flask immersion depth (height stop)
The stop band of the height stop is located on the right side of the lift column that can be
used to adjust a constant immersion depth for the evaporating flask.
✓ The rotation is switched off.
✓ The evaporating flask is mounted (see
chapter “Operation”, section “Mounting
the evaporating flask”).
✓ The height stop is at the top position.
Adjusting the lift stop without the
safety hood:
➜ Lower the lift until the desired
immersion depth is reached (see
chapter “Start-Up”, section “Heating
bath and flask lift”).
➜ Turn the locking screw on the stop
band of the height stop to the right
of the lift column by about 180°
counterclockwise.
➜ Slide the stop band down as far as it
will go using the locking screw.
➜ Tighten the locking screw clockwise.
➜ Return the lift to the top.
✓ The locking screw holds the stop in
position.
✓ The lift moves down no further than
the stop and ensures a constant
immersion depth of the evaporating
flask
Adjusting the lift stop with the safety
hood:
➜ Hold the safety hood with one hand.
➜ Guide the safety hood by hand when
moving the safety hood
(see chapter “Assembly, Safety hood”).
