Attaching the peripheral devices
Connecting vacuum
Warning:
Risk of implosion, risk of poisoning
Glass flasks that show even the slightest damage can burst and,
depending on the sample, can poison the surrounding air.
Do not increase the vacuum pressure unless necessary.
Never exceed the permissible pressure of your distillate.
To connect the vacuum, you need:
▪ a vacuum source
▪ a vacuum tube (Ø 7-8 mm inside)
Glassware sets G1, G3, G3 XL and G6
The opening for the vacuum connec-
tion is located on the back and top of the
condenser.
➜ Unscrew a screw cap with the tube
nipple.
➜ Push the vacuum tube onto the tube
nipple.
➜ Tighten the screw cap with the tube
nipple and the tube.
➜ Attach the other end of the tube to the
ventilation valve on the back side of
the evaporator.
