Interfaces
RS-232 interface
The RS-232 interface is located on the
back side of the control box.
The external chiller uses this interface
to communicate with the rotary evapo-
rator. (see chapter “Assembly”, “Chiller
connection”)

USB port
You can use a USB stick to update the
system.
➜ Insert the USB stick with the new
software into the USB port on the left
side of the control panel.

➜ Tap the “Basic settings” symbol on
the start page.
➜ Tap “System update” at the bottom in
the “Basic settings” menu.
✓ The current version is shown.
✓ Tap the green checkmark to update the
software version.
✓ The installation is started, and the
progress of the installation is displayed.
➜ After finishing the update, remove the USB stick from the device and cover the ports
with the protective cap.
In accordance with the USB 2.0 specification, use the USB port only up
to a maximum of 500 mA.
The SD card port is meant for our service technicians only.
Caution:
Possible damage to the device
If the ports on the device are not covered, liquid may enter and touch
parts carrying current. Penetrating liquids can lead to malfunctions of
the interfaces and result in short circuits.
The interface ports on the back side of the device must be covered at
all times.
Accessing system information
➜ In the “Basic settings” menu, tap
“Information” at the bottom edge of the
screen.
➜ Tap “Firmware” to see the version in use.
➜ Tap “Licenses” to open the license
details.
