Use multi-purpose grease or oil.
–
Cleaning the wire rope, the hoist or independent secon-
dary brakes with high pressure cleaners is prohibited!
Moisture results in malfunctions and damage to the mo-
tor, brake and the electrical equipment.
–
Dirt on the wire rope will result in premature wear or the
corrosion of the wire rope, rigging and hoist.
Replacement
Replace the ropes immediately if the withdrawal criteria in accor-
dance with Table 5 have been reached (as per ISO 4309 and
DIN 15020, Sheet 2) or typical rope defects are present, see
Fig. 12.

Renewing rope tips
Send the rope to Greifzug Hebezeugbau GmbH or an lifting
equipment service company authorised by Greifzug Hebezeug-
bau GmbH and have the tip replaced.
Power supply and control cables
The cables must be replaced by an electrician if any damage has
been caused to the insulation or the cable connectors.
Hoists
DANGER!
Danger due to falling objects due to slippery or damaged
ropes or brake failure and malfunction!
Might result in severe injuries or even death!

Motor, gearbox and brake
The motor, gearbox and brake are maintenance free.

Clean the outside if heavily soiled.

Keep the brake free of oil and grease.

Apply the grease gun to the lubrication nipple (1), see
Fig. 14.

Lubricate the lubrication nipple with 3 – 5 pumps (approx.

Let the hoist run for approximately two seconds in the UP-
WARD and DOWNWARD directions.

Adjustment
Adjust the mechanical load limiting device
X-Model series:

The load limiting device may only be implemented by
personnel authorised by the system manufacturer or
Greifzug Hebezeugbau GmbH.

Observe the details in this instruction manual.
When delivered, the load limiting device has been set in such a
way that it deactivates the hoist at the latest once the load
reaches 1.25 times the load bearing capacity.
The minimum value to which the load limiting device can be set
is 10 % below the load bearing capacity of the hoist.
In order to set the load limiting device an overload is lifted. The
overload is:
Overload = Nominal load + 25%

Only load load lifting equipment with the calculated overload.
