5.Manifoldpressure/temperaturesensor M A P/M AT
(a)Function&principal
Thepressuresensorforinletmanifoldshallbeinstalledtogetherwiththe
inlettemperaturesensorforaneasyuseandinstallation.Andthefunction
of the integrated unit is thesame as that of each separated unit.
-Wiringterminal A -pressuresignal,B -+5V ,C-temperaturesignal,
D-signalground
-Installation T heyshallbeinstalledonthegasductoffourcylinders
forinletmanifold,andmaybeusedtodeterminespecificcylinderby
manifoldpressure.
-Technique“cylinderdeterminationbypressure” Whentheengine
cylinderisworkingonaninletstroke,asuddenopeningofinletdoor
willmakethemanifoldpressurenearbyairvalvedecreasedsharplyby
approx1kPa,whichwillbe detectedbytheinletpressuresensor;and
this signal(highpass filtering) shall be separated and processed by
E CUthroughsoftware.Insuchway,thedeterminationoncylindermay
beeffected.

6.Enginerotating-speedsensorcrankshaftpositionsensor
(a)Function &principal
B eingone typeofmagnetoelectric sensor,the enginerotating-speed
sensor /crankshaft position sensor shall be installed nearby the
crankshaft, and shall workwith 58xgearring on crankshaft. W hen
crankshaft is rotating, 58X gear top /groove will pass the sensor
successivelyyetwithdifferentdistancetosensor,andthesensormay
feeltheA Cchangesof magneticreluctance,whichresultsin anA C
changedoutputsignal.Usingthissignal,E CUisabletodeterminethe
rotati ng posi ti on & speed of crank shaf t. W i ri ng termi nal :
A -,B -signal-,C-shieldedlayer.Installation T heyshallbe
installednearbythecrankshaft.

-Shieldedwirehasnotbeenappliedtothesignalinwire-harness,orthe shieldinglayerofshieldedwirehasnot beenwell
connectedtoground
-Themagneticcorehasabsorbedalargerquantityofmetaldusts;
-Thedistancebetweensensorandgearringisbeyondlimit;
-Therelativepositionofgearringtothecrankshaftisincorrectoradisplacementisproduced
