3.Absolute-pressure sensor for inlet manifold (MAP
(ITMS-6)
(a)Function &principal
Theabsolute-pressuresensorforinletmanifold(MAP)isusedtomeasurethe
pressueofinletmanifold,andECUmayusethissignaltodeterminedtheair
amountinsideengineandtheloadofengine.MAPsensoriscomposedofone
sealedflexiblesiliconchip,andrelevantbridge-typeelectricalloops,withone
typical5Vvoltageappliedtooneendofelectricalbridge;Wherebythechange
ofpressureresultsinadeformationofsiliconchip,theresistancevaluewill
changeaccordingly;Ontheotherendofelectricalbridgeis0 5Voutput
signal,makingdirectproportionwithinputpressure.
Wiringterminal A--signalground,B--pressuresignal,C--+5V.
Installation:It’susuallyinstalledonthepressurestabilizationcavityof
inletmanifold.

& componentsarenormalinfunction.
-PressurevaluereadfromaDiagnosisInstrumentshallbeconsistenttothe
actualvalue.
-Whenexteriorcoverisdamagedorthere’ sairleakage,thepressurewillbe
afixedvalue

airinsidetheenginecylinder;Asanychangeofairtemperaturewilldirectly
influencethedensity,it’ sregardedasoneofsignificantparametersusable
tocalculatetheactualairamountinsidethecylinder

Importantnote ThetemperaturevaluereadfromaDiagnosisInstrument
shallbeconsistenttotheactualvalue.T hetemperaturevaluehasalarge
deviation.Whenatnormaltemperature(20 30) ,itsresistancevalue
