Standby Modes (Low-power Consumption)
The standby modes consist of sleep mode and stop mode. Standby modes are
changed to sleep mode or stop mode by setting the standby control register (STBC).
Standby mode reduces the power consumption by stopping the operation of the CPU
and peripheral functions.

Standby Modes
Standby mode reduce the power consumption by stopping the clock signal supply to the CPU
via clock controller (sleep mode) or by stopping the source oscillator itself (stop mode).

Sleep Mode
Sleep mode stops the CPU, but continues to operate the peripheral functions except watchdog
timer.

Stop Mode
Stop mode stops all chip functions except the external interrupt, and stops also the source
oscillation.

Standby Mode Operating States
*1: High impedance. Pins with a pull-up resistor (optional) go to the “H” level.
*2: During an oscillation stabilization delay initiated by an external interrupt, pins go to their states prior to entering stop
mode. Pins go to their reset states during an oscillation stabilization delay initiated by a reset. (See Section
3.5.3,“Pin States During Reset.”)
