Objective and Intended Readership of This Manual

The MB89620 series has been developed as a general-purpose version of the F

MC*-8L family

consisting of proprietary 8-bit, single-chip microcontrollers. The MB89620 series is applicable to
a wide range of applications from consumer products to industrial equipment, including portable
devices.

This manual describes the functions and operation of the MB89620 series and is aimed at
engineers using the MB89620 series of microcontrollers to develop actual products. See the
