will reset the instrument to a defined condition, stated for each applicable command.
The reset condition is not dependent on past-use history of the instrument except as noted below:

RST does not affect the following:
•
the selected address of the instrument;
•
calibration data that affect specifications;
•
SRQ mask conditions;
•
the contents of:
the Status Byte Register;
the Status Byte Enable Register;
the Standard Event Status Register;
the Standard Event Status Enable Register;
the SCPI Operation Status Register;
the SCPI Operation Status Enable Register;
the SCPI Questionable Status Register;
the SCPI Questionable Status Enable Register;
•
the state of the IEEE 488.1 interface;
•
the Error Queue;
•
the Power-on Status Clear flag setting;
•
the Protected User Data Query response.
The 'Enable Macro Command' (

EMC) is not used in the 9100.
The 'Define Device Trigger Command' (

DDT) is not used in
the 9100.
Parallel Poll is not implemented in the 9100.

RST enforces the following states:
•
The 9100 reverts to Manual mode;
•
the 9100 is returned to 'Operation Complete Command
Idle State' (OCIS);
•
the 9100 is returned to 'Operation Complete Query Idle
State' (OQIS);
