6. Select "Confirm bottles removed".
7. Replace the bottles previously removed with fresh reagent, standard solution or cleaner.



Reagents must be prepared according to the instructions for mixing a reagent.

8. Reconnect the hoses to the liquid manager.
9. Select "Menu/Operation/Maintenance/Bottle change mode/Bottle insertion/Bottle

selection".

10. Select all the bottles that you replaced and press OKto confirm.
11. Select "Confirm bottles inserted".
12. If bottle level monitoring is enabled (Menu/Setup/Analyzer/Extended setup/Diagnostics

settings/Bottles), you can reset it under "Menu/Operation/Maintenance/Bottle change

mode//Bottle insertion/Reset filling levels".

13. The system must be calibrated after a replacement routine. Select "Menu/Operation/Manual

operation/Determine calibration factor".

14. After the calibration return to "MODE/Continue automatic mode" or "MODE/Start automatic

mode", to start normal measurement.

12.3 Zero point calibration

A zero point calibration must be carried out each time following reagent replacement, and

also during commissioning, maintenance and repair.

1. Press the "MODE" soft key. If you are still in manual mode, select "Manual mode". Wait until

all operations have stopped.

2. Remove the bottles containing standard S1 by removing the hose from the bottle. Use a

paper towel to catch any chemicals that may escape. This prevents any contamination of the

zero standard.

3. Replace the standard with zero standard.
4. Go to "Menu/Operation/Manual operation" and select " Determine zero point".
5. Perform a zero point calibration.



At a value > 0.02 mg/l Cr(VI): Repeat the calibration until there is only a marginal

difference (0.1 mg/l Cr(VI)) between the last two values.

6. Following successful calibration, you will be asked: "Do you want to accept the calibration

data for adjustment?". Confirm with "OK".

7. Remove the zero standard. Use either an additional hose in order to reconnect the standard

calibration solution, or allow the hose to drain and dry the hose well.

8. Connect the standard calibration solution to the liquid manager.

It is advisable to then perform a manual calibration with the standard solution.
