Practical tip using the example of the "connection of a pressure transmitter - 1 .. 7 bar":
The
indication on the pressure transmitter here (> -1 bar) is obviously relative to the ambient pressure. The
adjustment of the pressure transmitter in the controller is carried out using absolute pressure values
(the absolute pressure cannot be negative). In order to parametrise the above pressure transmitter with
the relative pressure indication -1 bar (at 4 mA or 0 V) and 7 bar ( at 20 mA or 10 V), the ambient
pressure (1 bar) must be added. The input in this example is as follows: 0..8 bar.
