Detection

Fin temperature is detected by the thermistor of the radiation fin.

Error Decision 
Conditions

When the temperature of the inverter radiation fin increases 84°C or more.

Supposed 
Causes

Actuation of fin thermal (Actuates 84°C or more)

Defective inverter PCB

„

Defective radiation fin thermistor

Troubleshooting

Defective radiation from the 
power unit
• Blocked air suction port
• Stained radiation fin
• High outdoor air temperature

YES

Replace the thermistor.

NO

Replace the compressor 
inverter PCB.

YES

Continue the operation.

 It is supposed that the 

radiation fin temperature 
became high due to some 
field factors. In this 
connection, check the 
following points:
• Stained radiation fin
• Airflow obstructed with dirt 

or foreign matters

• Damage to fan impellers
• Too high outdoor air 

temperature

Caution

Be sure to turn off the power switch before connecting or disconnecting connectors, or parts may be damaged.

The radiation fin of the 

inverter PCB concerned 

exceeded a temperature 

of 84˚C.

Turn OFF the power supply, and then 
make measurement of resistance of 
the radiation fin thermistor.

Is the thermistor 

resistance normal?

Connect and disconnect the connector 
(X30A) for the radiation fin thermistor, 
and then properly connect it.

Does the error recur 

when the power supply 

turns ON to start the 

compressor?
