The economizer cycle has been adopted as the improvement plan of the performance coefficient of the screw
chiller or centrifugal water chiller. In adopting the high pressure liquid refrigerant called R-410A, an economizer
cycle is adopted to improve efficiency while lowering the discharge gas temperature.
[Single Stage Refrigerating Cycle]

This is adopted with temperature control in mind
with the latent heat of evaporation by expanding
part of the high pressure refrigerant in order to
reduce the refrigerant discharge gas temperature.
The performance coefficient decreases with the
decline in refrigerant capacity due to the reduction
of circulated refrigerant volume to the evaporator.
[Economizer Cycle]

This performs subcooling of the liquid refrigerant
going to the evaporator by expanding part of the
high pressure refrigerant from the condenser in the
intercooler with auxiliary electronic expansion valve.

The refrigerant capacity increases by the
subcooling action. As a result, the performance
coefficient is improved with respect to the existing
machine.
(The performance coefficient is improved by
injecting refrigerant at intermediate pressure during
the compression process and converting to the
refrigerant effect at a lower pressure ratio.)
