2434/N1914A is recommended for the power meter. 

N8487A/71712/R&sZ61 is recommended for the power sensor.

Test steps 

1)

 

Zero and calibrate the power meter. Connect the tested instrument according to solid lines in Fig. 8.11 and 
connect the output of the signal generator to the power meter. Reset the  4051 analyzer and complete all 
calibrations without prompted error messages.

Set the output frequency of the synthesized signal generator as 500 MHz and the amplitude as -20 dBm.

Set the power meter frequency as 500 MHz and record the power meter reading in the column L1 of the 
4051 Auxiliary Form.

Change  the  connections  in  the  test  according  to  dotted  lines  in  Fig.  8.11  to  connect  the  cable  via  the 
adapter to the 4051 analyzer.

Set the 4051 analyzer as follows: 

   Center frequency: 500MHz 

   Span: 0Hz 

   Resolution bandwidth: 300kHz 

   Video bandwidth: 30kHz 

6)

 

Execute Peak Search and record the 4051 marker reading L2 in B9 of the 4051 Auxiliary Form.

Calculate 500 MHz absolute amplitude accuracy ΔA500 of the frequency point according to the formula 
(18) and record the result in the 4051 Record Sheet:
