7.3 Error Information

normally, the amplitude of the calibration signal should fall in the range of -20 dBm ± 2 dB. If such
amplitude is not correct, it means that high-band (above 4 GHz) reading of the instrument is abnormal.
The above two steps are used to determine abnormal reading in partial or entire wave band. Please contact our
customer service center according to relevant information in the Manual and provide the error messages. We
will help you solve the problem as quickly as possible.
Caution
Even if the calibration signal (500 MHz or 4.8 GHz) amplitude is normal, other frequency bands on the same
wave band may have abnormal signal amplitude reading.
The amplitude test with internal calibration signal is only a quick way of path detection.
7.2.2.5 Instrument network connection failure
1) Firstly check that whether the network has web-surfing capability.
2) Ensure that proper IP settings have been obtained from the system administrator.
3) Check whether the cable connecting to the network interface of the instrument is intact.
Check whether the incoming network cable is connected to the LAN interface on the rear panel of the
analyzer and whether the yellow indicator flashes at the interface. If the network connection still fails, please
contact our customer service center according to relevant information in the Manual and provide the error
messages. We will help you solve the problem as quickly as possible.
7.3 Error Information
The signal/spectrum analyzer records errors occurred during measurement in two ways: error message queue
displayed in the operation interface of the front panel and SCPI (under remote control) error message queue.
Such two queues are stored separately for management.

The file of ―errormessage.pdf‖ stored in the random disc records a complete list of error messages. Such error
list consists of error No. and error description. If several error messages have the same error No., they will be
sorted in alphabetical order.

1) Viewing of Error Information
By interface operation:
Error messages prompted at the bottom right corner of the signal/spectrum analyzer during operation indicates
software operation or hardware problems. Types of problems can be more or less determined based on error
codes and measures can be taken for troubleshooting accordingly.
Only one error message will be display at a time in the error display area of the signal/spectrum analyzer. As
the problems may occur at the same time, the following operations can help to view all the error prompt
information:
