 to select the coupling method of the input interface of the signal/spectrum analyzer 

as DC or AC coupling. The DC coupling is useful for measuring input signal less than 10 MHz. However, 
the external input DC signal may damage the instrument. AC coupling prevents external DC signal from 
entering the instrument, and is suitable for measuring RF signal larger than 10 MHz.
