 The analyzer should be calibrated to meet above indicators. Select Auto Calibration (Of) (press
【 System 】 , [Align], [Auto Calibration On/Off]) or calibrate manually.


information of error messages.

7.2.2.1 Startup problems
Problems occurred during startup of the 4051 series signal/spectrum analyzer may be caused by failures of the
power, processor hardware, instrument setup, etc. In this section, faults during startup and possible causes will
be analyzed according to the energizing and starting procedure of the analyzer. It takes about 3 min for the
instrument to start and such time varies based on hardware configuration, installation options and the number
of measurement applications.
1) Yellow standby indicator is not ON
Plug in the instrument outlet and turn on the switch on the rear panel to observe the power indicator at the
bottom left corner of the front panel to turn yellow. If the yellow standby indicator is not on, firstly check
whether the power switch on the rear panel is turned on and then whether the voltage and frequency of the
power meet the operating power parameters requirement of the analyzer. See ―3.1.1.3 Power ON/OFF‖ of the
Manual. If power parameters meet the requirement, it is possible that the instrument power is at fault. Please
contact our customer service center according to relevant information in the Manual and provide the error
messages. We will help you solve the problem as quickly as possible.
2) Abnormal green start lamp
Press the power button at the bottom right of the front panel to turn on the instrument. At such time, the power
indicator of the instrument will change from yellow to green. If the indicator has not turned green, it is
possible that the instrument power is at fault. If the power indicator flashes in yellow and green alternatively,
it is possibly caused by abnormal internal load of the instrument rather than the power failure. Please contact
our customer service center according to relevant information in the Manual and provide the error messages.
We will help you solve the problem as quickly as possible.
3) Abnormal fan operation
After energizing and starting up, all fans should start working. If none of them is working, it is possible that
the power is at fault; if some fan does not work, then such fan has developed a fault. Please contact our
customer service center according to relevant information in the Manual and provide the error messages. We
will help you solve the problem as quickly as possible.
4) Black screen
A black screen can be caused by many a reason. If causes for three above failures are removed, follow the
steps below:
a) Connect from the monitor interface on the rear panel properly to a CRT display device, turn on its power
and wait for 30 s. If the CRT displays normally, it is possible that the BIOS configuration parameters of
the instrument have been altered. Users need to turn off the instrument, connect the standard keyboard of
the PS/2 interface, turn on the analyzer again, long press ―F2‖ to enter the BIOS setup interface, select
