3-Point Bend Test Setup

1. Set the test mode to compression (

2. Install the desired load cell for vertical configuration (see

Appendix B

3. Attach a locking disc to the measuring end of the load cell.

4. Assemble the 3-Point Bending Block and sliders:

•

Attach M2x6 fasteners on the sides of the sliders and bending blocks

•

Place 4-40 -

5/16” fasteners through the hole and the square nuts. Place the

square nuts through the groove of the bottom block.

•

Use the large O-Rings and small O-Rings as illustrated below to hold the 3-point
bending dowels in place (Note: Choose a dowel size appropriate for the test
being performed. Small and Large dowels are provided with the 3-Point Bend
package).
