UniVert User Manual

Snap Image Feature 

Located under 

Tools

>

Snap Image.

 

This feature allows the user to capture a single image during the setup phase.  This can be useful 
for documenting specimen loading activity and neutral (non-contact) beam position. 

 

Update Firmware 

Periodic firmware updates may be issued by CellScale for the UniVert. When a new firmware or 
software is available, you may download it from our website (

www.cellscale.com/downloads

).  

To update the firmware: 

1.  Connect the UniVert to the PC via USB and turn on power to the UniVert 
2.  Open the 

UpdateFirmware.exe

 program located in 

Univert>Software>Utilities>Update 

Firmware 

 

3.  The program will automatically update the firmware of the UniVert 
4.  Power cycle the system after the firmware is successfully updated before using the 

UniVert software again 
 

The firmware version is checked and the automatic updater is also run when installing a new 
version of the software.
