Using the Vivo 45 with the Remote Alarm
The Remote Alarm enables care providers and clinical personnel to mon-
itor the Vivo 45 alarms remotely. The Remote Alarm forwards alarms
from the Vivo 45. When an alarm sounds, the care provider or clinical
personnel must attend to the patient quickly.
When installing a remote alarm system, check that it operates as intended
before starting the treatment.
Using the Vivo 45 with the EtCO
2
Sensor
The EtCO
2
sensor can be connected to the patient breathing circuit and
to a Vivo 45 in order to monitor and store CO
2
measurements. The CO
2
measurements will be stored in the Vivo 45 data memory which can be
downloaded to a PC and viewed in the Vivo 45 PC software.

medical personnel only.

sensor is intended only as an adjunct in patient assessment.
It must be used in conjunction with other assessments of clinical
signs and symptoms.
• Masks’ dead-space, patient’s volumes and unintentional leakage may
influence the CO
2
measurements.
• Used airway adapters shall be disposed of in accordance with local
regulations for medical waste.
