6.3 Physiological Alarms
The physiological alarms of the Vivo 45 are related to the treatment
parameters of the ventilator.

ESCRIPTION
Definition
A High Pressure alarm will be given when the
pressure reaches the set High Pressure alarm
limit for 3 consecutive breaths during inspira-
tion.
Priority
High
Possible cause
• Mismatch between Insp. pressure/CPAP and
alarm setting.
• Coughing during inspiration.
• Changes in airway resistance and/or compli-
ance.

The High Pressure alarm setting is also visible
with a red line in the pressure bar graph.
Ventilator action
The Vivo 45 will continue treatment with the
current settings. The actual breath is however
terminated if the High Pressure alarm limit is
reached.
