Definition

The Rise Time setting controls the speed of 
the pressure increase from start of inspira-
tion to set inspiratory pressure.

A low setting will give a faster pressure 
increase and therefore a longer plateau at the 
set inspiratory pressure. A high setting will 
give a slow increase and therefore a shorter 
plateau.
