Do not throw, drop, tilt or tip over the battery,
or subject it to physical impact.
Doing so could cause the electrolyte to leak.
If contact of the electrolyte with the eye, skin,
or clothing occurs, immediately wash it off with
plenty of water.
In particular, if eye contact or ingestion
occurs, immediately seek medical treatment.
Warning
When refilling, do not fill purified water above
the UPPER LEVEL line.
Doing so may result in electrolyte leaks.
Caution
If the electrolyte overflows, neutralize it with
bicarbonate etc. until the bubbles disappear,
and wash out with plenty of water.
Failure to do so may cause corrosion of the
surrounding area or environmental pollution.
If the electrolyte spills over the machine etc.,
wipe away with a wet cloth and flush the
affected area with plenty of water.
Failure to do so may cause damage to the
machine.
Wipe any electrolyte spilled on the top of the
battery with a wet cloth.
Failure to do so may result in damage to the
machine.
Do not fill the battery with anything other than
purified water.
Filling with liquid other than purified water may
cause generation of heat and toxic gases due
to impurities.
Do not fill the battery with sulfuric acid.
Filling with sulfuric acid will increase the
specific gravity of electrolyte over the
specified value, and may shorten the battery
operating life.
Tighten the vent plugs firmly after refilling the
battery with purified water.
Use extra care when handling the battery,
and if any problems are found, replace the
battery with a new one.
Carry or store the battery with care so that it
does not fall or become damaged. 3.
