Brake caliper (CCW)
This is mounted to the top side of the right
front wheel and to the bottom side of the
left front wheel.
Only parts #2, 3, 4, and 5 can be
supplied as the pad kit.

Daily Maintenance
The following daily maintenance is necessary
to keep the condition of the brake caliper
good.
Inspect whether the housing can slide freely
on the bracket.
Inspect whether the housing can slide
smoothly in coordination with the cam
movement.
Inspect whether the surface of the disc is
worn or bent.
Replace the pad if its thickness is 3.3 mm
(0.13 in) or less.
Apply brake grease (dry lubricant) lightly to
the pivot pin.

Bearing
Replacement of The Kingpin Bearing
If the bearing and O-ring become damaged
due to bearing wear, insufficient lubrication, or
due to water penetration, the kingpin will not
move smoothly. Inspect and replace the
bearing and O-ring.
Caution
Exercise care in handling the kingpin since it
is heavy.
Remove the thrust bearing and O-ring from
the kingpin shaft.
