Removal of Brake Caliper

Jack up the machine and remove the front
tires.
Reference:
"Jack-Up Points" (Page 3-18)
Remove the cotter pin of slotted nut
securing the wheel mount.

Slotted nut

Cotter pin

Install the special F wheel mount fixing kit
onto the wheel mount and secure it with the
bolts as shown in the illustration.
At this time, align the bolt holes of the F
wheel mount fixing kit with the wheel
mounting holes of the wheel mount.
Be sure to position the F wheel mount fixing
kit as shown in the illustration.

Remove the F wheel mount fixing kit.

Release the brake.
Remove the flat-head pin connecting the
brake wire with the cam lever by removing
the cotter pin and washer.
Remove the brake wires of both top and
bottom caliper parts.
