Wire

Replacement of The Brake Wire

Caution

If the brake wire is severed, the machine will
be unable to stop.
If there are cracks, damage or other defects in
the brake wire, replace it immediately.

Important

When replacing the brake wire, check the
installation position.
There are right side and left side brake wires,
which have different lengths.
The right side wire is longer than the left side.
Make sure not install them on the wrong side.

Jack up the machine and remove the front
tires.
Reference:
"Jack-Up Points" (Page 3-18)
Release the parking brake.
Follow the steps below to remove the brake
wire on the pedal side.

Remove the cotter pin, washer, and flat-
head pin from the brake wire plate.
