Installation of Kingpin

Caution

Exercise care in handling the kingpin since it
is heavy.

Important

Be sure to replace the thrust bearing or O-ring
with new ones, if they are damaged or are
worn.

Follow the steps below to install the left
kingpin.

Securely place the jacks beneath the pivot
jack-up points to prepare for installation of
the kingpin.
Reference:
"Jack-Up Points" (Page 3-18)
Follow the steps below to install the
kingpin.

Apply grease to the kingpin shaft.
